I hope this newsletter finds you well.
The summer has flown by. We had a wonderful summer Studio Tour, then a truly magical Killaloe Craft and Community Fair. We had some great additions to the fair site this year. First our fabulous new day stage, which I created a nature mandala for, then a beautiful Archway created through an Art Helps workshop lead by Ottawa Valley Community Art organization.
Recently I traveled to Montreal for the opening of “From the Functional to the Fabulous” 600 years of Decorative Arts and Design in the Liliane & David M. Stewart Pavilion At the Montreal Museum of Fine Art. Curated by Rachel Gotlieb.
I am honoured to have my piece “Golden Gown” in this permanent collection. I highly recommend visiting this exhibition if you can make it to Montreal.
Now I’m back in the studio working on a couple of new wall dresses as well as exploring some other new directions.
I want to wish everyone a wonderful shift into slower rhythms, harvesting the fruits of the season for the approaching hibernation and taking in the final golden glow of the fall.
