After many life transitions, the biggest and most consuming being motherhood. I am resurfacing and coming back into the light.
I have moved back to my home town community to raise my daughter and open a studio where I can develop my ideas about creativity and expression with glass and found objects.
The Glass House which I have been renovating for the past year and a half is the location of my studio as well as many future projects and pop up events. I plan to develop this space into a place of creativity and healing through workshops and retreats for individual growth and development.
I have a studio boutique which is open by appointment and this summer I will be opening my studio to the public during the Madawaska Valley Studio tour, at this time I will also be doing demonstrations on the torch.
With this growth comes a new website. www.tanyalyons.ca Here you will be able to see where I've been and where I'm going. I have also added a gallery/shop feature which will allow me to have an online gallery of my available work.
I am also excited about and busy preparing for my upcoming solo exhibition at the South of 60 Arts Centre, in Barry's Bay, ON, Canada. It will be titled "Coming Home...to the enchanted land" opening Sept. 9th and running until Oct. 30th. This exhibition will reflect what I have been doing in glass for the past 20+ years as well as feature new work.
These are busy times of change. I hope all are well, coming out of this winter and changing into spring. A time of shedding the layers, feeling the sun and breathing in the new life with the fresh air... new beginnings bring many dreams....
I am excited about the path I am on and look forward to whats to come.
